Little knowledge of air circuit breaker
Air circuit breaker, also known as air switch, is an electrical appliance with protection function. Once a serious overload or short-circuit fault occurs, the air circuit breaker will start to open the main contact. Under normal conditions, it is rarely used to connect and disconnect circuits. Next, we briefly talk about the little knowledge of air circuit breakers.
Structure
The inside of the air circuit breaker is composed of auxiliary contacts, alarm contacts, shunt release, undervoltage release, etc. The external structure is composed of a click operating mechanism, a rotary operating handle, an extended handle and a handle locking device. of.
Operating temperature
The upper limit of the working environment temperature of the air circuit breaker is +40℃, and the lower limit is -5℃. The average value of the ambient temperature within 24 hours cannot exceed 35℃.
Work criteria
When the circuit is overloaded, the bimetallic strip will bend due to the heating of the thermal element of the thermal trip unit, pushing the free tripping mechanism into action. When the circuit is undervoltage, the armature of the undervoltage release will be released, which will also cause the tripping mechanism to act.
As a remote shunt release, in normal operation, its coil state is power-off state. When distance control is required, press the start button to energize the coil, and the armature drives the free trip mechanism to disconnect the main contact point.
Detect
When testing whether the air circuit breaker can be used normally, a professional must carry a phase leakage detector for testing. If the switch is in the normal protection state, during the test, each circuit of the air switch trips separately, and the leakage protector also trips together. If the air switch is in an abnormal state, only the main switch will trip, individual air switches will not trip, and the leakage protector will not trip.
